When a house or condominium is offered for sale, the owner generally wants EVERYONE except the next door neighbor, to know about it.

When a business is presented for sale, the owner is very
concerned about total confidentiality as pertains to their:

customers
employees

landlord
lienholders

competitors
suppliers

Owners want no one to know their business is for sale until after it is sold!

From a buyer's point of view, if employed, they too require confidentiality. For these reasons, "Confidentiality Agreements" are always used.
